Renowned for becoming the youngest world surfing tour qualifier in history in 2008, Sally has won numerous surfing competitions around the globe. She was the youngest surfer to win an Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) pro-junior title at age 14 and also won the first ever Australian Open of Surfing.

Sally's 7 Travel Tips

  1. Get out of your comfort zone and explore that sense of adventure; it could create the best memory of your trip.

  2. When buying souvenirs try to find something small that is easy to pack and that will have a lasting meaning and evoke a lifelong memory to connect you to your holiday experience.

  3. Be willing to adapt as there will always be some bumps in the road so take them in your stride.

  4. Be a champion traveller, see as much of our great country and the world as you can. Remember to be kind and considerate along the way and try to meet new people (locals) every day.

  5. Pack ‘in cases’ in your carry on: Having travel necessities on hand can mean the difference between being comfortable and wishing you’d never left home.

  6. Take fruit and healthy snack bars when you travel. You will enjoy the experience of travelling much more if you avoid sugar highs and lows.

  7. Drinking fluids while travelling is vital. Stay well hydrated with water to keep the body performing at it’s optimum level and help avoid “tired travel muscles”. I find adding a daily coconut water gives you the extra electrolytes you need.
