BARANI AT MARITIME MUSEUM

Celebrate Vivid Sydney 2024 at the Australian National Maritime Museum with Barani, an immersive projection exploring humanity, compassion, and connection. This captivating animation and sound experience showcases a story set in Warrane (Sydney Cove) 500 years ago, drawing parallels between past harmony and the Anthropocene era.

Barani delves into a mother-son relationship during a coming-of-age journey, highlighting love, connection, and independence while emphasizing the need for a balance between humanity and nature. Inspired by First Nations knowledge, Barani invites viewers to reflect on the history of the land and our coexistence with nature.

Catch Barani daily from May 24 to June 15, 6:00pm to 11:00pm.

We suggest watching from Pyrmont Bridge or King Street Wharf, as the Maritime Museum Boardwalk will be closed.
